Westmount Park is a United Church giving the traditional church service on Sunday afternoons at 4:30 p.m. Communion is once a month and is open to all. The third Sunday of the month is our Fur and Frond Service where people are welcome to bring their pets and plants to the service.
Because of its small size, these services are intimate and informal, often reflecting different styles of preaching and encouraging member participation. There is a dedicated organist and small choir, making music a very central part of the service.
Westmount Park Church services reflectthe new realities of today’s church-goers with their busy working schedules. Weekly services are also conducted by visiting preachers on occasion as well as by lay members of the Church.
Attendance is not restricted to Westmounters and almost half of the congregation comes from outside its borders. Westmount Park Church is a place for quiet worship and friendly gatherings. We welcome everyone to stay after the service for coffee and refreshments and visit with our community.
We are not alone,
we live in God’s world.
We believe in God:
who has created and is creating,
who has come in Jesus,
the Word made flesh,
to reconcile and make new,
who works in us and others
by the Spirit.
We trust in God.
We are called to be the Church:
to celebrate God’s presence,
to live with respect in Creation,
to love and serve others,
to seek justice and resist evil,
to proclaim Jesus,crucified and risen,
our judge and our hope.
In life,in death, in life beyond death,
God is with us.
We are not alone.
Thanks be to God.
