Space Rental for Functions

Westmount Park United Church is located on the South West corner of Westmount Park.  It has affordable, comfortable space available for daily, evening, weekend, weekly or longer-term rentals.

We have space for all occasions: events, parties, classes, meetings, reunions, theatre rehearsals/performances etc.

We rent to businesses, individuals, and nonprofit organizations. We provide discounts to grassroots groups requiring church co-sponsorship.


Sanctuary


Gothic in style with stained glass windows and dark wood, the sanctuary has a centre aisle 55 feet long. It has a raised chancel (3 steps) with communion table at the back. There is a raised pulpit on the left and choir stalls facing the chancel. There are 12 pews on either side for a total of 24. Each pew holds eight comfortably for an approximate total of 200 people on the main body of the church. There is additional seating with pews on the side wing.

Rental price for religious service: $160 for up to a four hour block of time.  Monthly rate $640. It is $70 per hour for other approved uses except weddings. Webster Hall


Webster Hall is a large room (46'3" x 51'1")with a high ceiling. It has a stage (40'9" x 18'9") with curtains and lighting. It has a well equipped kitchen suitable for preparing meals for many people. The hall has a stained glass window on one side and can easily be decorated with lights to lower the ceiling. Oblong (20 72"x30"), round (15 60") and square tables (13 30"x30") and 150 chairs are available.

Rental Prices:

Less than 7 hours: $65 per hour without kitchen, $80 with kitchen.

7 hours or more: $390 without kitchen (charged hourly - $455), $480 with kitchen (charged hourly - $560).

Extra clean-up or overtime: If necessary, 1 hour at the hourly rate for the location over and above the contract signed. To be deducted from the deposit held. After midnight, time and one half is charged.

Up to 30% discount for non profit groups- (discount not applicable to clean up or overtime).

Special pricing available for long term rentals (3 months or more).

Deposit and Payment terms

A $100 deposit is required upon submission of the rental application. The deposit will be returned if rental is denied. The deposit will be returned after the event, unless there is damage or overtime charges. In the event of a cancellation, the deposit will not be returned. If Cancellation is 5 days or less prior to the scheduled event, 25% of the bill (which includes the deposit) will be retained. Any refund given should  be available within 72 hours.

Pre-payment is required and will be stipulated in the rental agreement. Full payment must be received 5 days before the event date or the space will not be available for use. Rental time includes set up and clean up time.
